ST. LOUIS—From coast to coast, thousands of Americans entered Grant’s Farm on Tuesday, hoping their antiques would generate buzz. From tiny glass trinkets to large wood carved furniture, appraisers gave people the good news and the bad while filming for Antiques Roadshow’s 30th season, which airs in 2026 from January to May.
Spectrum News spoke with multiple participants, an appraiser and the show’s executive director, who said one item in particular stood above all else.
“We could talk about the diamond sapphire ring that I saw. It’s worth $15,000-$20,000 but the thing I like best so far that I’ve seen today is a sock,” said Marsha Bemko, Executive Producer of Antiques Roadshow. “S-o-c-k, it’s a sock. It’s a Civil War sock with bullet holes in it. It was handed down to the family, still has the two bullets. It has a hardtack, which is like the crackers they’d eat.”
